After another quiet (mostly motoring) 24 hr run from Jervis Bay we arrived in Eden.  We decided to wait here while a southerly front passed by.

The moorings behind the new attenuator near the town were all occupied (some by squatters! ) so we picked up a mooring by Corcora Beach.  It was a bit rolly, but we had a nice swim and a good sleep.

Moonrise and sunrise in Eden

Alex got up at 6am to see one of the boats leaving a mooring behind the attenuator, so we quickly motored over and grabbed it.  It is well protected from the wind and fetch in southerly conditions.

The rest of the day was relaxing, doing emails and reading.  I baked bread and a pizza for dinner.

This morning we checked the forecast and it looks like we can leave this afternoon (Tues, 15 Apr). The next leg will be to cross Bass Strait and travel down the east coast of Tasmania to somewhere in Mercury Passage.  We’re expecting this to take about 2.5 days and I won’t be posting while we’re sailing.  See you in Tassie!
