Yesterday Boris and Roisin joined Rusalka and began settling in and going through the orientation process.
It was a bit hectic, as I was still cooking for the trip and Roisin had to be temporarily berthed in the forward cabin until I left this morning, resulting in a last minute bedding shuffle. But Alex managed to go through his usual briefing for new crew members, including a round of practicing lassoing a MOB. After a last meal together of pizza and rosé (I’m pretty proud of my boat-made pizza!) we all had an early night.
This morning I left for the airport and Rusalka headed to the customs dock to check out of New Zealand. After a friendly, easy clearing procedure they set off at around 10:30am. Stay tuned for updates or click the link “Where is Rusalka” on the side of the webpage to get an up to date position.
